Initially named as Ducale, the label served aristocrats in central Italy. Tapping into the influence of English style in the 1970s, the founder learned the British shoe making skills for a year in Northampton before returning home to implement them in his work. English aesthetics combined with Italian craftsmanship became the signature of Doucals’ footwear.
